Leanna McCrea, LCSW in Baton Rouge, LA

You're not broken. You're unequipped. Therapy for teens, young adults, and moms who are tired of feeling like too much or not enough.

Meet Your Therapist, Leanna

I'm Leanna!

I'm not going to pretend I have every answer, or that I'm somehow above the mess of real life.

I've lived through my own trauma, my own therapy, single motherhood, and domestic violence.

That's not a footnote to my training; it's a huge part of why this work matters to me.

I know what it's like to turn a hard story into a different ending because I've done it myself.

That means I don't rush to judgment, and I don't panic. I can sit with you in the hard stuff without flinching.

I'm also, honestly, a bit chaotic. In a charming, genuine way.

Transparent, blunt, real.

I'll call it like I see it, because you'll know it's coming from someone who actually sees you and is in your corner.

What I Believe

    • You're not disposable; you're worth fighting for.
    • You're not crazy for needing support. You're finally ready to understand yourself.
    • You're not a bad mom. You're exhausted from doing it alone.
    • You're not "in crisis" every time it gets dark. Sometimes you just need to be heard.
    • You're not difficult. You're guarded, because somewhere along the way, guarded kept you safe.

How I Work

Connection comes first. Trust gets built over time, not demanded immediately.

My style is direct but never cold. I won't tiptoe around "scary" or "overwhelming" feelings.

We will get real about what's not working, about the patterns keeping you stuck, and about what actually helps.

You've tried everything you thought would help. It's okay to trust someone else to guide you now.

Safe. Relaxed. Empowered.

That's how I want you to feel, not just in our sessions, but in your life.

In our work, we will work together to help you:

    • Stop believing you're broken. YOU get to control the way your life goes.

    • Build actual skills to get you through hard days.

    • Trust the therapy process, so you can finally see the real you.

Healing doesn't happen overnight. But with consistent practice, it becomes natural. Even when it doesn't feel like it's working right away, that doesn't mean it isn't.

Ready to stop carrying this alone?

If you're motivated to do the work, even if you know it won't happen overnight.

I'd love to be the person who walks alongside you.

Reach out and let's get started.
